“ Philip was so great!!!! The food was phenomenally good and not pricy at all!!!!! We loved everything about it! We actually came for my birthday and they’re cheesecake is a 10/10 tried both purees and mmm chefs kiss super gooooood and will for sure come back! ”
“ University Draft House is my go to place for good burgers and great drinks! My favorite burger is the Bucking Bronco. And they have the best happy hour! ”
“ Cool new location in the historic pumphouse building. Service was good, they were well staffed and managed. Food was good, burger was juicy, nice cold drinks with a great view of the pond. They were setting up for live music, there was a wedding downstairs they had tons of space. Lots of beers on tap, fun cocktails, nice fried bar food, would go again ”
“ Update: We have continued to come periodically. The food and service are still consistent. We tried a few different items on the menu. They were very accommodating in cutting our burger in half and serving it in separate trays, which made it easier. Our daughter tried The Freshman which was a flounder fried up, not greasy and the other ingredients, including the sliced boiled eggs just made the sandwich. Our son tried the Greek burger which have tzatziki, cucumbers, feta cheese which he stated was fantastic. My husband and I split the Hot for Teacher hamburger which had Serrano peppers, jalapeno jack cheese, avocado and more. It was a little spicy for me but the fries helped. The sliders for our granddaughter was a little too much but she too enjoyed her hamburger. We went to this place about a week ago because we liked the one in Edinburg. Everything was good, the brunch food was great. Was just disappointed we couldn’t order from the regular menu, because I wanted my husband to try the jalapeno bombers. So with in a week we tried it again, this time during happy hour. We tried several different drinks, margaritas, original and mango, moon tang, chang tang and a berry bruiser. We tried the “Hot for Teacher” hamburger, a spicy one, beware and adult chicken strips. Everything was great, the service too. ”
“ It was our first time here in McAllen, and we loved it. The food was excellent and it was nice out on the patio. We will be back for sure! UPDATE: Returned with the boyfriend 6 months later. Still loved it! ”
“ Brunch is delicious, we went this morning and I got the waffle sliders, they were super good. The jalapeno jam was the perfect addition to this meal. The place was a bit empty but we did go pretty early so it was quiet. It’s a really nice location, very attentive staff, overall nice vibe. I love the dinner here too so if you want a good chicken sandwich, I recommend theirs. Only sad part is that they got rid of their potato wedges, those were the best side ever. ”
“ I usually go for a drink but this time I ordered food, the burger is called the teacher's pet and it's so so good, 10/10. Service was great and music was low so I could talk without feeling I was yelling. I'd definitely go back. ”
“ Been many times, first in Edinburg—years ago—but mostly in McAllen. Food is excellent. Both last two times our family goes I’ve had to ask for no mayo (can’t eat eggs—sad face) or no bbq sauce and they’ve gotten it wrong twice but also fixed it twice without blinking an eye. Lots of customers. Usually pack. Closed Mondays. Live music outside. Special events inside. Amazingly cool renovated building: old fire house. Indoor/outdoor seating. Love the appetizers as well. Burgers are easily customizable. Vegan options not on menu, so ask for your favorite brand. Friendly. Great drinks too. ”
